I want to update you on Bristol’s current Selectboard race and the special Town Meeting election on Tuesday, December 3, 2019.
Eight people submitted letters of interest to the town for the vacant Selectboard position, this became six interviews in front of current SB members and town officials, and now we have two candidates on the ballot – myself and Eric Carter.
I was 11 votes from winning the seat this March, and I need your help again to get elected this December. I encourage you all to go to the polls and vote, either on election day (Tuesday, December 3), or even better, by voting early at the town offices starting November 14. Additionally, if you’d like a ballot mailed to your home, just let me know, and I’ll have that arranged.
I see the Selectboard position as the natural expansion of the work I’ve been doing with Bristol CORE, and as a volunteer, these past 5 years. I’ve built relationships with businesses and residents, worked directly with the town administration and current Selectboard on a variety of projects, and have solid connections with Bristol’s Planning, Conservation, and Energy commissions and committees.
I am committed to all aspects of this town’s future and want an opportunity to demonstrate that as a Selectboard member.
If you’d like me to represent you on the Bristol Selectboard, I’m asking for your support with a vote on or before Tuesday, December 3, 2019.
